Van Driver/Yard Operative - Penzance

The Role 

We are looking for a Van Driver/Yard Operative to join our team in our Penzance branch.

You will be responsible for the delivery of products to customers, with key accountability for ensuring the quality and timing of service is first class and working in the warehouse.

The role includes the safe loading and unloading of the vehicle. Maintains high standards of housekeeping and vehicle cleanliness, ensuring compliance with all legal and security requirements.

To ensure the premises are kept to a high standard to comply with Health & Safety regulations, maintaining a clean and tidy yard and working area. 

While in the yard you may be dealing with customer requirements, ensuring required goods are successfully located and loaded as per the customer’s instructions, as well as the completion of the associated administrative processes.

All this under the authority of the Yard Supervisor and Branch Manager.

The Requirements

• Full UK driving licence 
• Multi drop experience 
• Knowledge of the local area
• Product knowledge: Specific knowledge of products sold within the branch, this experience should come from experience in the building trade or builders’ merchants Industry.

• Driving small 3.5t Tipper Van and also Yard Duties.

Week:1  Monday to Friday  07:30-17:00 

Week: 2 Monday to Friday 07:30-17:00 Saturday 08:00-12:00
