Dear Valued Customer,
On behalf of us all at RGB, we thank you again for your patience and understanding, through what has been a particularly difficult time for people, personally and professionally.
During the last three weeks, we have continued to supply essential orders through four sites, in line with the Government guidance, and a substantial amount of product has been supplied to key projects in the South West.
We've been giving a lot of thought to our trade customers and listening to the concerns raised by individuals and businesses through this exceptionally difficult time.
It is for that reason, and following the previous announcement from Alok Sharma dated 31st March 2020, we have decided to operate from a further seven branches, making 11 in total, to support the increase in demand, for our trade customers only. We will still continue to supply Covid-19 projects.
This new procedure will come in to effect from Monday 20th April, giving us time to ensure that all our sites identified are set up to operate in line with the Public Health England guidelines. Branches will operate Monday – Friday from 8.00am – 5.00pm.
Please contact your local branch as normal. Emails and phone numbers have been diverted to the branch that is designated to serve those that are not open.
For the foreseeable future, there will be no access to our shop and yard areas, with orders being picked for customers to be collected from a designated branch, at an agreed time slot. Deliveries will operate in a similar manner.
During this period, we will be unable to take payment of goods on collection. Therefore, all material must be either booked to a trade account or paid for prior to collection.
The safety of our staff and customers will be our paramount focus. As a result of this, we will refuse to serve customers who do not work with our branch teams to adhere to the Public Health England guidelines and we ask for your continued patience, understanding and support.
We continue to monitor and adjust our plans in line with the guidelines, demands and product availability and we are working with our suppliers to maintain as fuller range as possible in terms of products and services, but we do ask for your patience as a number of manufacturers will not be returning to work in line with our plans.
Generally, as a company, we continue to operate with as many people as possible working remotely. We therefore respectfully ask that during this period canteen and toilet facilities remain for the exclusive use of our own staff, to protect our RGB colleagues.
Thanks again for your patience and understanding and hopefully this change in our approach further demonstrates our ongoing commitment to look after our loyal and important trade customer base.
