Dear Valued Customer,
I am sure that some of you have other things other than building, plumbing and decorating materials on your minds, as we deal with the ever changing picture that the Coronavirus presents us with. However we are aware that for the majority of our customers, the ability to be supplied with products and material is a key life line in looking after your own businesses and supporting your employees, colleagues and family. Therefore I just wanted to share with you the position here at RGB.
We are watching for these regular updates and are daily updating the communications out to our branches. This is essential to ensure we protect our valuable staff and customers and we would respectfully ask that you support us in working within these guidelines.
Over the last week we have seen a significant increase in customers in our branches, or contacting us by phone, which has resulted in lead times at some of the branches being extended to 3-4 working days. Be assured, we are doing our very best to fulfil these orders as quickly as possible, mindful that the Government guidelines bring extra processes and procedures to help us protect both customers and staff.
We are still easily contactable via e-mail and would encourage you to use the Contact Us part of our website to ensure that all communications get picked up, just in case one of our staff members is off sick or self-isolating. All main branch phone numbers will be manned at all times and staff with company mobiles will be happy to take your calls, but will have diverted their phone if they are not feeling well or if they have COVID-19 symptoms.
Traditionally we have always carried comprehensive stock, and that position has been maintained over the last week with the support of our suppliers. Indications at this stage are that the majority of our suppliers continue to offer a normal delivery service to our branches and therefore there is no need for you to worry about product shortages at this stage. However, you will appreciate that this position might change over the coming weeks and we'll do our best to communicate any changes through our branch teams.
Our focus for communication to our customers is through our Facebook page and our Twitter feeds and we would encourage you to monitor these for any significant changes, as this is the fastest way to communicate with you.
As I mentioned earlier, we are monitoring the Government guidelines daily to ensure that we support these changing times and maintain the very best in customer service, to help you in every way we can in these unprecedented times.
