RGB Charity of the Year 2017 - Children's Hospice South West

We are delighted to announce that the RGB charity of the year is Children Hospice South West, and we look forward to supporting this thoroughly deserving cause throughout 2017.

Children’s Hospice South West cares for families with children who have a life limiting or life threatening condition, and are unlikely to live to adulthood.

At its three beautiful hospices in Devon, Cornwall and Bristol, it supports parents, siblings, and the poorly child from diagnosis towards bereavement and beyond. Specialist care teams can relieve the burden of caring for a sick child from families and allow them to spend precious time together while focusing on just being a family.

To face the reality of losing your child means those who desperately need the help of the hospices face an uncertain and fragile future.

The charity walks alongside the families providing respite care, palliative and ultimately end of life care for their child. Its work also continues after bereavement for the whole family. CHSW cares for almost 500 families across the south west at its hospices; Little Harbour in St Austell, Little Bridge House near Barnstaple, and Charlton Farm near Bristol.
